Olympus Campervan Hire
(“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”)

1.⁠ ⁠Definitions

Customer – the person or persons who hire the vehicle from the Company.
Vehicle – the campervan or motorhome hired under this agreement.
Hire Period – the dates agreed between the Company and the Customer for the hire of the Vehicle.
Security Deposit – the refundable deposit paid by the Customer prior to hire to cover potential damage, loss, or breach of these terms.

2.⁠ ⁠Booking and Payment

A booking is confirmed once a deposit or full payment has been received and the Company has issued written confirmation. Full balance is due 8 weeks before collection. For bookings made within 8 weeks of hire, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation and loss of deposit.

3.⁠ ⁠Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit must be paid before the start of the hire.

This deposit covers damage, loss, or breach of terms.

The amount and payment method will be stated in your booking confirmation.

The deposit will be refunded 14 working days of the vehicle being returned, provided it is undamaged, the fuel tank filled to correct level as when taking it out, no parking/speeding fines received and all equipment intact.

4.⁠ ⁠Cancellations

If you cancel:

• More than 5 weeks before hire: full refund minus booking deposit.
• 5 weeks or less : 30% of the full booking price will be none refundable.
• 4 weeks or less : 40% of the full booking price will be none refundable.
• 3 weeks or less : 60% of the full booking price will be none refundable.
• 2 weeks or less : 85% of the full booking price will be none refundable.
• 1 week or less : 100% of the booking price will be none refundable.

If the Company must cancel (e.g., mechanical failure or other unforeseen circumstances), a full refund or alternative dates will be offered. We are not liable for any additional costs, such as travel or accommodation.

5.⁠ ⁠Driver Requirements

Drivers must:

• Be aged 25 to 70 (unless otherwise agreed).
• Hold a full valid UK driving licence for at least 2 years.
• Have no more than 6 points and no major convictions (e.g. DR10, IN10).
• Provide proof of address and a DVLA check code will be required before hire (within two weeks prior to arrival date).

6.⁠ ⁠Insurance

Comprehensive self-drive hire insurance is included for one named driver.

Additional drivers can be added for a fee (subject to approval).

Insurance does not cover:

• Damage due to negligence or misuse
• Tyre punctures, windscreen damage, or lost keys
• Theft if the vehicle is left unlocked or with keys inside

The Customer is liable for the insurance excess stated in the hire agreement.

7.⁠ ⁠Vehicle Collection and Return

• Collection and return times are set out in your booking confirmation.
• Late return without prior agreement will result in a £50 per hour charge.
• The Vehicle must be returned with a the same amount of fuel in when taken out, clean interior, and empty waste tanks.
• Additional cleaning or refuelling charges will apply if necessary.

8.⁠ ⁠Use of the Vehicle

The Vehicle must not be:

• Driven outside the UK without written consent.
• Used for racing, towing, or off-road driving.
• Driven under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Driven by anyone not named on the hire agreement.

You are responsible for any fines, tolls, or penalties incurred during the hire.

9.⁠ ⁠Accidents or Damage

In case of an accident:

• Notify the Company immediately.
• Obtain names, addresses, and registration numbers of all parties involved.
• Do not admit liability.

Any damage or breakdown caused by negligence will be charged to the Customer.

10.⁠ ⁠Maintenance and Breakdown

Our vehicles are maintained to a high standard.

If a breakdown occurs, contact the provided roadside assistance number.

The Company will make reasonable efforts to repair or replace the vehicle but is not liable for consequential losses.

11.⁠ ⁠Personal Belongings

The Company is not liable for loss or damage to personal items left in the Vehicle.

12.⁠ ⁠Pets and Smoking

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the Vehicle.
Pets are only allowed by prior agreement and may incur an additional cleaning fee.

13.⁠ ⁠Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

14.⁠ ⁠Agreement

By signing the hire agreement or making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
